Oligo Purification Options - Effective 5/26/2009

In addition to PAGE purification, we are introducing a new reverse-phase cartridge purification/desalted option. This type of cartridge purification removes most failure sequences and yields desalted oligos that are >90% pure. The charge for this option is $25.00/oligo. When placing an order, select “Cartridge Purified/Desalted” under the “Scale” menu to choose this option.

Due to an increase in labor and material costs, we are increasing our PAGE purification charges to $45 for the 40 nanomole scale, $135 for the 200 nanomole scale and $405 for the 1.0 micromole scale. With the introduction of the new cartridge purification option, we hope to offer our customers a cost-effective, high quality purification alternative.

Quantitation data

We are now providing molecular weight and quantitation data for all oligos synthesized on our ABI 3900 synthesizers. This includes all un-modified, trityl off, oligos <80-mers that are synthesized at the 40 nanomole scale. For longer oligos and for larger scales, quantitation data will soon be included.

Specialty Pricing

Due to rising chemical costs and limited chemical availability, effective February 9th we are increasing our specialty surcharges by 15%. This increase will apply to all specialty reagents required for modified oligos.

Campus Oligo Deliveries

Beginning 2/25/2009, a small courier delivery charge will take effect. In order to cover courier costs, a fifty cent per oligo charge will be added to each delivery, with a cap of $5.00 per delivery. Investigators who wish to avoid a delivery charge can pick up their completed oligo orders at 300 George Street, Room 2127, 24 hours a day. For additional information, please E-mail us.
