Protein Chemistry and Mass Spectrometry Move Notice!

In order to serve the Scientific Community better, the Protein Chemistry and Mass Spectrometry section of the Keck Facility have moved to the G level of 300 George Street on June 21, 2004. This move gives us much needed additional and more suitable space, including custom lab space for a Bruker 9.4 Tesla Apex-Q FTICR. The FTICR instrumentation, for example, gives us new approaches to identifying sites of post translational modifications, obtaining sequence information on small intact proteins, expand our MudPit capabilities and will provide a better approach for obtaining exact masses on small molecules.

Amino Acid Analysis and Protein Sequencing

Amino Acid Analysis and Protein Sequencing have moved to room 2104 on the 2nd floor of 300 George St. (See Ordering for the full address.) Samples may be dropped off there between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. For labs in the School of Medicine, there is a dropoff in room 401 of the Boyer Center (BCMM). Put samples in the "AAA/Protein Sequencing" rack in the refrigerator, leave submission forms in the orange folder, and call 7-2635 or 7-4171 to notify us there are samples waiting. PLEASE DO NOT ENTER ROOM 402 IN SEARCH OF A PHONE OR PEN!
